Seminar Attendance
We will meet each week. Attendance is expected and required; it will be taken at every class. YOU CANNOT PASS SEMINAR WITHOUT REGULAR ATTENDANCE. Seminar attendance is mandatory. Schools have been notified of the time/day of seminar and have granted permission for teacher candidates to leave and be able to attend. Please be advised that THIS attendance policy pertains ONLY to seminar. If a teacher candidate must miss seminar, you must inform the instructor beforehand.
- Two partial absences equal one full absence.
- Be on time to Seminar!
- To pass this class, teacher candidates will have not more than 1 absence during a semester. Acceptable reasons for absence include:
- Activities in which teacher candidates act as a college representative (musical performance, field trip for another class, etc.) or are performing extended day teaching-related (pare teacher conferences, etc.) activities.
- Personal illness as documented with written proof from the school nurse or a physician.

Prior to the exam period, the student must file a written request on the Early/Late Exam Form available in the Student One Stop Center, Academic Records, and on the WC portal. The form must be signed by the Instructor and the Academic Dean, approving the alternate exam time. This process must be completed prior to the scheduled exam period.
