Adolescence to Young Adult and Career Technical Major

Program

A total of 52 hours is required.  Courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better, except ED130 and ED230 which must be completed with a B- or better. The Adolescent Young Adult leads to a license to teach a specific content area in grades 7-12.  The Agriscience Educations Majors leads to a career Technical Education on License for grades 4-12.  For  the Adolescent to Young Adult major you will complete the Education major at the same as a content major in History, English, Mathematics or Biology life sciences. Agriscience Education majors will complete the Education Major at the same time as the Agriculture major. 

Recommendation for Licensure
Licensure majors must successfully complete all degree requirements, including admission to the Teacher Education Program/teacher education candidacy and student teaching, as well as meet academic and field requirements prescribed by the Ohio Department of Education and the laws of the State of Ohio. In addition, teacher education candidates must achieve passing scores for all OAE tests required for their respective licensure area(s).
